Welcome to the conference

The aim of the workshop is to develop an overview of current and recent research efforts on our most extensive and valuable native plant. Manuka honey is the high value product but we have not included honey research because of commercial sensitivities and associated confidentiality issues. However, nectar and insect interactions with the plant are included. At the end of the workshop we intend that we have all developed an excellent picture of what research is underway, where it is being done and who is doing it.
